The Corpus Christi Black Chamber of Commerce is proud to sponsor several programs throughout the year to increase community awareness, be supportive of community and business needs, and to enhance business partnerships. These are the annual programs:
Annual Drive-Thru Diaper Drive. This is an annual Community Service Project benefiting the local USO families at the CC Naval Air Station, held in January each year in conjunction with the MLK National Day of Service “A Day On-Not A Day Off”. Our proud Co-Sponsor is our local ABC-TV Station. The public is invited to drive thru/drop off diapers and baby toiletries in support of our active local military families. All proceeds are then transferred to the Naval Base for distribution by the USO of the Coastal Bend.
Annual “S.O.S.”-(Sisters On A Saturday) Business and Professional Development Seminar. This event kicks off one of our major fundraisers, usually held in April each year. This event primarily focuses on women’s health issues, business development, and entrepreneurship.
